i got a mole removed yesterday on my back.  it kind of hurts.  i hope it's not malignant, b/c then i have to get even more skin cut off my body.  and that wouldn't be fun.

my dad. is going. to AFRICA. for two weeks this summer. on a missions trip.  amazing.  i don't think i can explain how incredibly amazing this is.  my dad is not the type at all.  but he's going!  it's incredible.  they are going to build either missionary housing or a school for kids or houses.  i'm not sure which.  he's going to come back impacted forever.  i'm so excited for him.

adam and i went to an open house at valley forge christian college on saturday.  i am even more sure now that it is the place where God wants him.  it's going to be so stinkin awesome to watch the future unfold.  the youth ministry classes sound amazing.  and the youth ministries professor was awesome.

i have a potential exciting opportunity on the horizon.  i'll find it soon if it's happening or not.  it could be good!  or it could be really bad.

johnny cash's cover of nine inch nails "hurt" is amazing.

so adam and i are now officially the only married couple out of 5 in our life group that aren't currently pregnant or have had a baby in the past month.  i'm totally okay with it, since a kid would be a really tough thing to handle at this point.  but....  i think since about a week after we got married, people started asking us when we were going to have kids.  i'm kind of sick of it.  well, not so much people asking, more like when they ask, and i say, "oh it's going to be a few years, we're really not ready right now," and people always respond, "if you wait until you're ready, you'll never have them."  i don't get it.  yeah, are you ever really ready, i get that, but at the same time, isn't it fair for me to say at this point, "we are extremely unready"?  i mean, adam's about to start freaking college.  we moved in with my parents to save money, so he can afford to go without tons of debt.  and i think it is completely fine for me to say, "we are waiting, b/c now would be really bad timing."  and people should stinking leave me alone about it!!!  and that's all i have to say about that.

i don't like moving.  i don't like packing.  i think it's because it's almost impossible to pack without creating chaos.  and i don't like chaos.  there are boxes all over my apartment, and there's stuff everywhere.  it sucks.  a week and a half, and i can have order again.  hopefully, i will keep my sanity in the meantime.

lost returns tonight.  i am disgustingly addicted to that show.  i can't wait to find out what happens.  it's going to be good.

speaking of obsessions...  harry potter and the deathly hallows is on order and will be delivered on july 21st.  i finished half blood prince in about 9 hours.  we'll see how long deathly hallows takes me.  i'm so stinking excited about this book.

someone just responded to my question of "how are you today?" with an answer of "much better than yesterday. yesterday i had the runs. i had a bladder infection the day before that, but it cleared up. so i ate sauerkraut and bratwurst, and it just went right through me." would you tell your bank teller that kind of information??
